Waimarino is nestled on the edge of Tongariro National Park, it is a charming township that serves as the perfect base for exploring New Zealand’s volcanic heartland. Formerly known as National Park or National Park Village, it was officially renamed to Waimarino in 2024. With breathtaking views of Mount Ruapehu, and Mount Ngauruhoe, this alpine village offers easy access to world-class hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and outdoor adventures.
