Stop for a picnic lunch in a sheltered cove and take some time to swim, explore or sunbathe on the sand. On your return trip, if the winds are favourable, sails will be hoisted and you'll sail back via Pinnacle Island to view the seal colony there - if you're lucky, you may even see some resident blue penguins at the same time. Arriving back at Torrent Bay Lodge, freshen up with a hot shower and re-join the vista cruise back to Kaiteriteri, arriving at 4.10 pm.
During the summer there is the option to enjoy an unguided two hour coastal bush walk after the kayaking trip. Walk around the picturesque Torrent Bay Lagoon via Cleopatra's Pool to the anchorage where you will re-join the boat back to Kaiteriteri.

Almost daily through summer the sea breeze fills in from the North mid morning and gradually builds through the afternoon. Peaceful relaxing sailing early in the day is the ideal time to cruise North exploring the native bush clad coastline and golden beaches. The afternoon offers the thrill and excitement of fast sailing, a great opportunity to ride the waves back down the coast. Shelter and calm water can still be found in most bays when the breeze is up, offering a great balance for cruising sailors.

Cruise to Medlands Beach in the heart of the Park, then relax or take a walk to Bark Bay (10 minutes) and further along the Waterfall Trail to the new Swing Bridge. Both Medlands Beach and Bark Bay beaches offer you the choices of relax in the sun, find a shady picnic spot, stroll along the sand, swim in the calm, azure waters. If you are feeling energetic you can walk the forested track around Bark Bay Inlet to see Bark Bay Falls and Swing Bridge. 4 kms (2.5 miles), approx. 1 hr return or walk to the impressively high Swing Bridge over Falls River, then return to Medlands Beach. 5 kms (3 miles) approx 1.5 hrs return.

From Marahau you'll travel on an exhilarating water taxi ride through the Astrolabe Roadstead into Anchorage. You then leave the golden sand beaches of the coast for a stunning 1.5 hour walk up and further into the Abel Tasman National Park. Along the way the guides will keep you entertained with endless amounts of stories about the history, culture, flora and fauna of the park. Delicious lunch is served before the action starts. At the top of the canyon you'll jump into your rubber suit, crank your harness tight and pop your helmet on. After a clear safety briefing by the guides you enter the truly remote environment of the canyon. You'll be jumping, sliding, abseiling, scrambling, floating and ziplining through this canyon for about 3.5 hours. The trip finishes with a royal slide into Cleopatras Pool. From the pool it is a 30 minute stroll along the river and the beach back to Anchorage where your water taxi awaits to zip you back to Marahau.
